Today, we have many imported foods in Japan. More than one million items are imported from foreign countries in a year. 60% of foods we consume in a year is imported foods. Domestic food products also have been varied lately. It is very important to keep safety and quality of foods according to this diversity of foods.
JFFIC has performed GLP since 1996. GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) is a control system for a highly accurate testing data. This is internationally recognized as an essential system for accurate testing data.
There are three testing section at each laboratory; physical / chemical test section, microbiological test section and biological test section, and a manager controls these sections at each laboratory. In addition, a general manager checks and controls laboratories to keep testing data accurate.
-Management of Facilities and Equipments
JFFIC has “Standard Operation Procedure (SOP)” of machinery and equipments management, reagent management and animals for biological test management. Staffs perform chemical and biological testing based on these SOPs and maintain the records of their works for a given period.
-Management of Products Assessment
JFFIC has SOPs of handling samples and products assessment practice. Staffs perform chemical and biological testing based on these SOPs and maintain the records of their works for a given period.
-Accuracy Management
To keep accurate data, JFFIC checks its technique and skill of analysis. JFFIC also participates in external proficiency testing to check its appropriate technique of analysis regularly.
-Participation in Training Courses
JFFIC staffs often participate in some external training courses to make progress their own skill of analysis and to learn high techniques.
